Spider-Man vs. Magneto
Max Eisenhardt, one of Marvel's biggest villains. In this site's ratings, the classic Peter Parker Spider-Man wins 15% of their one-on-one fights, so Spider-Man is the underdog.
The verdict: Magneto is the clear favorite
Fight rules: both fighters at their peak, no preparation, no allies, only their own powers and personal gear. A win is a knockout, a restraint they can't escape, or a forced surrender. The percentages are fan estimates, not official information.
Spider-Man's edge
His costume has no metal and webbing isn't magnetic, though his web-shooters are steel. He needs a fast knockout before the force field rises.
Magneto's edge
Mastery of magnetism: force fields, flight, flying steel, the steel in Spidey's own web-shooters, and at his peak, the iron in a man's blood.
Odds for every Spider-Man
