About SpiderOdds
SpiderOdds is an independent, unofficial fan guide to Spider-Man's fights. It asks the question fans have argued about since 1962, who would win, and answers it carefully: with consistent rules, a transparent rating method, and the comic issues behind every claim.
The site covers 26 versions of Spider-Man and 49 opponents, from the original Sinister Six to Marvel's biggest villains and a few fellow heroes, plus long reads on his comics, films and history.
Everything here is written for this site. It summarizes and comments on published stories; it does not reproduce comic pages, film stills or artwork, and it is not connected to Marvel, Disney or Sony in any way. See the disclaimer.
A note from the editor
Every new Spider-Man movie, comic or game brings the same argument back: could he actually beat that guy? Most answers online are one person's opinion or a power chart with no sources. SpiderOdds answers it the slow way, with the same rules for every fight, a method anyone can check, and an issue number behind every claim.
SpiderOdds is independent and run by one fan, and it is the sister site of The Iron Mask Files, the Doctor Doom fight guide. It is supported by the ads you may see here. If you think a rating is wrong, write in. Arguing about Spider-Man is half the fun, and the best arguments will change the numbers.
